Case Study

Momo Restaurant

High-End Restaurant Uniform Design

MOMO was one of London’s most distinctive dining rooms. North African influence, layered textures, candlelight, and theatrical hospitality defined the atmosphere. The uniform needed to sit inside that world without becoming costume.

Project requirements

  • Develop a uniform that reflected MOMO’s Moroccan influenced interior without appearing themed.
  • Create a recognisable visual identity for front of house staff that elevated the guest experience.
  • Ensure durability, comfort, and freedom of movement for high tempo evening service.

Design response

  • Designed a deep burgundy shirt featuring a tightly scaled geometric motif, echoing North African pattern language in a refined, contemporary way.
  • Selected lightweight fabric with subtle sheen to respond to amber lighting and enhance texture under evening service conditions.
  • Developed male and female variants maintaining pattern consistency while adjusting proportion and fit to ensure coherence across the team.

What LOLO delivers

Design, sampling, & production support

Most hospitality uniforms fail in two places. They look good on day one, then fall apart in daily operations. Or they work, but they dilute the brand. LOLO designs for both outcomes from the start.

Design

  • Role by role uniform system across departments
  • Brand translation into silhouette, colour, trims, and detail
  • Venue specific identity for restaurants and rooftop concepts

Production support

  • Fabric and trim selection aligned to operating conditions
  • Sampling rounds, fittings, and size set planning
  • Supplier coordination and production schedule planning

Process

Common questions

What operators ask before they buy

Do you work with our existing suppliers?

Yes. LOLO can collaborate with appointed makers where it makes sense, or propose options based on performance requirements and timeline.

What do you need to quote accurately?

Role list, staff counts by role, location, delivery timeline, budget expectations, and constraints such as heat exposure, laundering, and cultural requirements.

Do you support multi site rollouts?

Yes. Uniform systems can be planned for phased delivery, consistent sizing, and replacement cycles across locations.

What is the difference between a uniform set and a wardrobe system?

A set is garments per role. A wardrobe system is the logic that keeps every department coherent, including hierarchy, venue tone, and operational performance.
