Epic Universe “Dark Universe” Costumes

When Universal Studios Orlando opened Dark Universe within Epic Universe, they turned to LOLO to costume one of the darkest, most character-driven worlds the company has ever built. From the ravaged streets of Darkmoor to the gothic scale of Frankenstein Manor, we designed costumes for a cast pulled from Universal’s classic monster mythology, Dracula, the Wolf Man, the Bride of Frankenstein and more, alongside new characters created for the land. Every costume balanced cinematic detail with the practical demands of daily wear on the park floor: durability, comfort and quick turnaround between shows. Working closely with Universal’s creative and operations teams, LOLO built a wardrobe that holds up to close guest interaction without losing the atmosphere that makes Dark Universe distinct. The result is costuming built for horror at theme park scale, gothic in tone and engineered for daily use.
